What we tried
Chicken Shop wings, Buffalo wings, Tobacco 0nions, Slaw, fries
Verdict
Succulent and crispy, as wings should be.
As soon as we entered the Chicken Liquor restaurant we felt very welcomed as the music played loudly and cheerfully. We were greeted by a very attentive waitress who showed us to our seat, but to be honest the seats were way to close together and I could feel my back almost touching the woman’s back who was sat behind me . We then chose to change our seat to a more open area at the front of the restaurant although they had a sign that said ‘if you want a seat upstairs, talk to one of our peeps downstairs’ which was kind of informal which made it feel a bit more at home.
There was a wide range of seasoning you could have on your chicken, from chicken shop (battered and deep fried) to buffalo wings which Lucinda said were quite rich, so she could only finish a few, and Doug was also the same. There are many sides to choose from including: Fries, Cheese Fries, Hot Mess (Hash Brown + cheese + jalapenos), corn on the cob, Tobacco onions, Deep fried mac and cheese, and finally Slaw (shortened for coleslaw). We chose the Tobacco onions, Slaw and chips and all of which had an exquisite taste and a mouth watering aroma. My personal favorite side dish would be the tobacco onions as it packs a bit of a punch and bursts out with the onion flavor when biting into the fragile crispy battered skin. All the food came together on a tray, which is cool, as long as you don’t mind sharing.
